CCHS Journalism meets every day in room 145 at North Campus in Gillette, WY. The courses offered are Newspaper, Yearbook and Introduction to Journalism.
Aside from this online newspaper, we also print a citywide edition in the Gillette NewsRecord. The bathroom stall edition of Potty Mouth can also be found on a weekly basis throughout both campuses. Daily announcements can be viewed via CCTV on Channel 69 across campus.
Yearbooks can still be purchased in the business office for $50 and will be $75 upon arrival in May. Online orders can also be made from this website. A yearbook signing day will be held during the last week for Seniors in the stadium.
Vintage yearbooks 1995-2005 are $25 and can be paid for at the business office at North. Give us a call and we’ll see if yours is on the shelf. The business office gladly accepts credit cards.
Advertising is available within the Humphrey Herald. A rotating spot on this site costs $100 for the year. Advertising in all CCHS sports programs is also available, with prices ranging from $100 to $300. Ad requests can be made through: ccjournalism@gmail.com

Ms. Carter,
Your website is fantastic. You and your students are doing excellent work. It is great to read all the work the students are producing. Way to go!

I think that we should be able to read the Humphrey Herald on-line,not just blogs. And if we can…can someone point it out to me where I can read it?
Thanks
Cindy

Our newspaper is online and is not a collection of blogs, but rather an actual newspaper written by students. We are still working on the layout and design so hopefully it will become easier to navigate. Thanks for your input!

When I was Editor-in-Chief of the Humphrey Herald circa 2005 we used Adobe InDesign to produce the paper; if that is still your program of choice couldn’t you simply export your layout to a .pdf?

My name is Malaree Holland, I am the current Editor-in-Chief of the Humphrey Herald. In response to your comment, we could export the layout to a pdf file, but we find that creating a website is more interactive. Not only can we create polls to gather information for future articles, but our readers can comment on our work and share their opinions. i hope you continue reading and enjoying our site. Thank you.

Hey Mrs. Carter, i was wondering if you could post in the Humphrey Herald about,
Out in Rozet and many places there are people going around cutting off horses tails, well parts of them and they use them for maybe (selling, pawning off, etc) if you would warn people about this and also that they are going around shooting horses, i was just wondering if you could make a post and also publish in the newspaper about this, its getting out of control and has gotten worse as my dog also has been killed we don’t know how we think its very fishy. so please if you could that’d be amazing contact me either at school or my number which you could ask me! Thank you!!

That’s a great idea, Kelsey. Would you like to write it? You are a really good writer and I think you know more about this than anyone.
I am so sorry that your puppy was killed. That is horrible.
Let me know what you think,
Carter
